WordPop is a Chrome extension that helps you practice vocabulary with short quizzes. WordPop can also optionally sync your learning progress to your account so you can view statistics in a web dashboard.

Data We Collect

WordPop does not sell personal data. If you choose to create an account and connect the extension, WordPop will transmit your learning activity to WordPop's backend to provide sync and dashboard statistics.

Data Stored Locally

WordPop stores learning progress locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local, such as:

• which words you have seen
• correctness history and spaced repetition state
• streak and total answers
• your extension settings (for example, whether the quiz opens on new tab)

This data stays on your device and is not sent to any server.

Data Sent When You Connect An Account (Optional)

If you connect WordPop to an account, WordPop sends the following data to the backend:

• account identifier (email address from your sign-in provider)
• your extension settings (for example, enabled/cooldown, selected language pack, difficulty)
• learning events (answers/correctness/skips with timestamps)
• learning progress state (spaced repetition box/last seen/correct/wrong counts)

This data is used only to sync progress and show your dashboard statistics.

Third-Party Services

WordPop does not use analytics, ads, or trackers in the extension code.

Data Deletion

If you connect an account, you can delete your account and associated data from the dashboard.
